  • 1.8 oz Carli Pure Olive Oil
  • 5.3 oz Fruit Spread Berries
  • 1 teaspoon gingerbread spices
  • A pinch of salt

Spiced tartlets with berries

Method

To make the spiced tartlets with berries, first make the shortcrust pastry with olive oil.

Put the flour, sugar, egg, pinch of salt, spices and our Pure Olive Oil in a bowl. Knead to obtain a homogeneous dough and let rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out discs to fit inside the tartlet molds. Cut out small stars as well, as many stars as the number of the tartlets.

Transfer the discs into the molds and fill with our Fruit Spread Berries, then cover with the shortcrust pastry star.

Bake in the oven at 410°F for about 15 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the spiced tartlets with berries from the oven and let them cool.

Just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar and a dusting of cinnamon.
