Let's take a step back: healthy hair always starts from the scalp. Over time, the build-up of smog, dead cells and sweat can obstruct the follicles and interfere with hair growth. This is why it's useful to change your beauty routine, adding a delicate scrub for the scalp every fortnight, to restore proper oxygenation of the hair tissue and bulbs.
This scrub for the scalp is very simple to prepare at home: just place 2 tbsps. of olive oil in a bowl with 3 tbsps. of sugar (white or brown, preferably with a variety of grain sizes), to which you can add a few drops of lavender, rosemary, chamomile or lemon essential oil.
Mix the ingredients into a smooth cream and apply it to a damp scalp, before washing your hair. Spread the scrub evenly over the scalp and massage for a few minutes. The action of the sugar, massaged gently, helps remove the dead skin cells and excess sebum, without drying out the hair, thanks to the olive oil. After massaging for a few minutes, rinse with warm water and proceed with your normal haircare routine, starting with the shampoo.
