Classic Panettone with Olive Oil

The reason our Panettone Classico is so delicious is that we replace the butter with our Olive Oil to create a smooth balance of ingredients and enhance the flavor and fragrance. We prepare it according to the genuine pastry maker's art, taking 3 days to make each individual Panettone. We use only fresh free-range eggs, and we choose the tastiest naturally candied orange rind and the softest raisins. And finally, to make it softer and easier to digest, we use only natural mother yeast.

CHRISTMAS CAKE WITH EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL (8%)

Naturally leavened baked confectionery. 

Wheat flour, fresh free-range egg yolk, raisins, candied orange peel (orange peel, glucose syrup, sugar), water, extra virgin olive oil 8%, cane sugar, natural mother yeast 6% (wheat flour, water), honey, emulsifiers: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, salt, natural flavourings.

May contain nuts, soy, milk and mustard.

How we like it

To prepare our Panettone Classico, we use only natural mother yeast. That's what makes it so soft and easily digestible and gives it a pleasant honey aroma.

APPEARANCE

Brown, well-fired exterior, with raisins and candied peel visible. Perfectly risen on the inside, with perfectly distributed air holes and a plenty of fruit.

 

CONSISTENCY

Extremely soft.

 

AROMA

Intense, with a hint of citrus and vanilla.

 

FLAVOR

Good balance of sweet notes and plenty of tasty, fleshy fruit, all natural and without artificial flavorings, coloring agents and preservatives. Deliciously soft raisins and tasty, fragrant, naturally candied orange rind. And lastly, the delicate notes of our Oil brings out the flavor of the other ingredients, for a delight that melts in the mouth.

A must for festive tables all over Italy, Panettone has its roots in Milan, where it was first made, developed and became famous. We've chosen to base ours on the original recipe, using the same techniques and ingredients, except for one, and this is our strength: we've completely replaced the butter with our Olive Oil. Delicious every time, with a light, clean, perfectly balanced flavor.

Get inspired

To enjoy it to the full, and to bring out its goodness and natural fragrance, we advise storing it at room temperature for at least 12 hours before serving. Do not heat near a flame or on the radiator, to avoid drying it out. A must-have for the festive season, it's also worth trying for breakfast or for an afternoon snack, or simply with a cup of tea or coffee.
