Jelly roll
Jelly roll is a variation on the classic jelly tart; the pastry is very aromatic thanks to the presence of Marsala and is perfect at breakfast or for a sweet afternoon snack.

Making jelly roll

To make jelly roll start by making the dough: mix the flour, sugar, the zest of half a lemon, the eggs, our Marsala Superiore D.O.C., our Pure Olive Oil and the yeast in a bowl. Knead until the dough is uniform and leave to rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

When this time has elapsed, take the jelly roll dough and roll it out on a sheet of parchment into to a rectangle about 3 mm thick. Spread our Carli ORGANIC Apricot Fruit Spread over the surface and, with the help of the parchment, start rolling up the dough.

Cook the jelly roll in a conventional oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes. Remove from the oven when golden brown and leave to cool before cutting.
