Preparing a tasty appetizer
This recipe is a quick and easy idea for a great appetizer that will impress your guests and friends: three different types of canapés for a really special and delicious hors d’oeuvre.
Cod and salsa verde canapé:
Spread two slices of bread with Green Olive Tapenade, add the Tuna Filets and then a touch of salsa verde to season.
Tomato and potato salad canapé:
Wash the potatoes, remove the skins and cook in pieces in a steamer for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
Transfer the potatoes to a bowl, season with a pinch of salt, a grinding of black pepper and a drizzle of Carli Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicato, and leave to cool.
When the potatoes have cooled, season with our Mayonnaise and a handful of chopped fresh parsley. Stir combine.
Wash the tomato and cut into slices.
Drizzle some Carli Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicato over two slices of bread then add a few slices of tomato and the potato salad.
Mayonnaise, hard-boiled egg and caper canapé:
Cook the egg in a pan full of water for 11 minutes from the moment the water comes to the boil. Drain, hold under cold running water and leave to cool. Remove the shell and cut into slices.
Desalt the capers by soaking them for 5 minutes in cold water, rinse thoroughly under run-ning water and dice up together with a few fresh parsley leaves.
Spread our Mayonnaise on the slices of bread, add the slices of hard-boiled egg and season with the chopped capers and parsley.
